I have 28 tabs open right now for the research paper I'm working on. It's a fascinating, albeit heavy topic, and the fact that I'm genuinely interested in the subject is a double-edged sword: I've researched way too much for this paper.
I'll read a statistic, then comb through the bibliography to find out who conducted the study, then read through their findings only to discover other authors and statistics to analyze and trace. What's cool though, is that countless times, my detective work leads back to the International Rescue Committee...an organization I've worked with for the past two years. I am continually, and constantly, surprised at what they do, the extent to which they do it, how transparent and community-based they are, and how they've been doing exactly what I want to do since I was an infant. And I kinda stumbled upon them two years ago in an ironic twist of fate.
Pretty cool. I could work for them for the rest of my life and be a happy camper.
But I have to write my paper.
